AZURITE on ARSENTSUMEBITE – Tsumeb Mine, Namibia
Product Description
Discovered on November 25, 1995 in Tsumeb, this sublime piece undoubtedly presents a superb contrast of color! Besides the fact that there are small crystals intact of intense blue Azurite, these are on gangue of Arsentsumebite! This mineral is the arsenate analogue of the Tsumebite, name from Tsumeb where the first discovery took place. On the base and thus the photo you can see Conicalcite, but this is a bad identification (the label will of course be removed). Arsentsumebite crystals are easily recognizable by the binocular, which we did to be sure of the identification. The crystals are also fantastic coarse! Fantastic aesthetic piece of collection.
