We are Cédric and Mathilde, the founders of SZ-Minéraux, a company born from our shared passion for the wonders of the earth. Since my earliest years, I, Cédric, 39, have been fascinated by fossils and minerals. As a child, I spent hours with my father and friends exploring the fields in search of these hidden treasures. My interest in science led me to study mechanical engineering, before specialising in geosciences at Nancy. With these two knowledge, I founded SZ-Minerals, a company dedicated to the sale of collection minerals and the manufacture of custom pedestals. However, in January 2024, we made the decision to focus exclusively on the sale of minerals, by stopping the manufacture of plinths to better meet our customers' expectations.

Mathilde, 34, joined me in this adventure after a career as a bank advisor. Since 2020, she has been working full-time in our company. For 16 years, she managed the trade shows, online sales and helped create stands, bringing her expertise and passion for craftsmanship to our joint project.

The arrival of our son Trystan marked a turning point in our lives, forcing us to make important choices. We naturally turned to what drives us the most: mineralogy. Working together for 16 years has strengthened our partnership, and 15 years ago we started selling our minerals as self-entrepreneurs. Our evolution towards the status of SARL, 8 years ago, allowed us to offer custom-made bases that highlighted our customers' specimens, without using glue or adhesives.

Since 2022, we have been honored to organize the International Mineral Expo Paris, an event not to be missed by lovers of minerals, fossils, jewelry and gems. This show, which takes place every year on the first weekend of December at Espace Charenton (327, rue de Charenton - 75012 PARIS), has become a major event in the calendar of collectors and amateurs.

In January 2024, we decided to focus all our energies on the sale of minerals and the organization of this exceptional event in Paris. This strategic choice reflects our commitment to offering our customers the highest quality specimens, while creating an unforgettable annual show. You can count on our passion and dedication to deliver the best in these two areas that are so important to us.
