Exceptional specimen of purple Phlogopite from the Mogok Valley in Myanmar. If the species is classically presented in brown to greenish tones, this piece is distinguished by an intense violet habitus, which is very unique for the species. This rare coloration is induced by manganese substitutions within the crystal lattice, characteristic of Burmese dolomitic marble parageneses. A must-have piece for demanding collectors.
